Countertop Paper Shredders Are A Must!

I just bought my third paper shredder.  My first paper shredder was a floor model that sits on the floor and was about the size of a small bathroom trash can.  I am a firm believer in shredding your personal papers in order to protect yourself against identity theft.  The floor model was great until my toddler decided to "shred" coins in it!  The coins got hung and bent up the shredder "teeth."    This was very upsetting, since I shred … [Read more...]

Mom Blog Reviews Products

I received an email from the manager of Costume Discounters offering a free product from the costume website in return for a product review.  As I browsed the costume website looking for the perfect product for my family, I came across many costumes and accessories.  Since I don't have any daughters, I tend to only associate costumes with Halloween.  While looking through, I was surprised to see holiday costumes for … [Read more...]

Decorative Pillows vs. Kid Friendly Pillows

I recently bought a new couch that came with two very nice, decorative throw pillows.  I was excited about the new couch pillows, since my family drags down multiple bed pillows every night to use while we relax and watch tv together.  Having nice throw pillows that could stay on the couch would keep all the bed pillows from having to be brought back and forth every night from the bedrooms to the family room and back upstairs again.  I went back … [Read more...]

LifeLock Identity Protector Is A Great Idea For Internet Users

I have been hearing about LifeLock for the last few months.  My husband and I have heard several radio commercials about this identity protection service.  Since I am online for several hours a day, shop online and also pay all our bills online, my husband wanted us to enroll in the LifeLock program.  I kept putting it off and he kept asking me if I had enrolled yet, and of course, I hadn't.  My husband came home from work the other day telling … [Read more...]

Jump Start Your Vehicle With The Stanley Jump Starter

How many times have you had to call a friend or your significant other to come jump start your vehicle?   How many times have you had to ask a stranger to jump start your vehicle?  It never fails, I am in a hurry and one of the truck doors didn't get shut or the overhead lights were left on and my truck won't start.  The worst part about this is that my truck is facing the wrong way for someone to pull in and jump start it.  I have to push my … [Read more...]

Fatheads Are Great Additions To Kids Rooms

I ordered both of my kids Fathead Stickers for their bedroom walls for Christmas.  I have never had these wall stickers before, but have seen them online.  I couldn't wait to get them and decorate their rooms with them.  I hung one of the large Fathead Wall Stickers up and it looked great.  I went back to my son's room a few hours later and the Fathead Sticker was gone!  It had fallen off the wall and was rolled up on the floor.  I had paid a lot … [Read more...]

Clean Your Floors Faster

I did not plan on writing product reviews, but I just got an early Christmas gift last night and it is awesome!  I have hard wood and tile floors and hate to mop.  The dogs or kids run across my wet floors and it drives me nuts.  We have family coming and I have lots of work to do getting the house ready, so my husband gave me an early gift.  He bought me the Shark - 2 in 1 Vac Steam. You don’t even need any cleaner for it.  It just uses … [Read more...]
